Amanda Parkinson
Managing Director of Psychology
Amanda has extensive experience with working within school and educational settings. Amanda worked for DET for over six years as a Student Support Services Officer (SSSO) - Psychologist and currently performs contract SSS work for DET.
In addition to Amanda’s extensive experience within schools she worked for Lewis & Lewis Psychological Consultancy Services for seven years during which she coordinated vast numbers of funding application assessment referrals for the DET’s PSD-AS within the South Western Victorian Region and Western Metropolitan Region of Victoria.
During her time with L&L Amanda also completed assessments for and assisted with other Projects and work commitments.
· Assistant Coordinator - Out of Home Care Project whereby she undertook a number of Educational Needs Assessments and assisted with the allocation of and consultation to schools, key DHS contacts and contractors across the state.
· Acting Manager of Private Assessments for L&L. This involved consultation and allocation of private assessments including CECV and ISV assessments.
Amanda then worked as the Psychology Stream Leader with Assessments Australia, where she was an integral part of the setting up of their project including main processes and procedures as well as staff training and reporting to Key DET personnel.
Currently Amanda works privately under her own banner (Parkinson Psychology) where she has undertaken a number of locum and contract positions within schools and DET networks. Amanda has also maintained assessment work with a well-known prestigious private school and a number of Catholic schools.
Maroulla Christodoulou
Managing Director of Speech Pathology
Maroulla is a member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University.
Maroulla has extensive experience with working within school and educational settings. Maroulla worked for Lewis & Lewis Psychological Consultancy Services for over five years during which she worked as a locum and completed assessments for funding applications across all three school systems. Maroulla also completed assessments and therapy for private clients both within schools and within the clinic.
Currently Maroulla owns and works for Talking Turtles Speech Pathology where she has undertaken a number of locum and contract positions within schools. Maroulla independently developed Talking Turtles and has run the business for the past two years. Maroulla has also amassed a referral pool for private assessment and therapy work.
